In order to set MCC restrictions to a card, you can either apply restrictions at the time you issue the cards, or update a card at anytime given you are granted the proper permissions.
- When you are updating a card to add MCC restrictions, go to Expense Cards → Cards and expand the details of the card you want to update.
- Under Merchant restrictions you can search and apply as many restriction groups you want from that list. When you apply a restriction that means purchases on merchants that fall under the MCCs applied will be declined.
A. When Issuing a Card
- Go to Expense Cards → Cards and click Add Card.
- After selecting card type and assignee, locate the Merchant Restrictions section.
- Search for and select one or more restriction groups (e.g., “Gas Stations,” “Hotels & Lodging”).
B. To Update an Existing Card
- Navigate to Expense Cards → Cards.
- Find the card you want to adjust and click Expand Details.
- Under Merchant Restrictions, select additional restriction groups or remove existing ones.
- To view a group’s contents, click More Info:
- Save your changes - new transactions will immediately respect the updated restrictions.
